Crystal Guzman
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
As a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Hope, Opportunity & Mental Empowerment, I’ve dedicated my life to helping individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression through compassionate, culturally competent, and evidence-based care.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I am a proud first-generation college graduate and daughter of a Mexican immigrant mother and a Mexican American father. My journey into mental health was deeply personal — shaped by my own lived experiences with family trauma, resilience, and growth. I created HOME as a safe, inclusive space where people from all walks of life — especially those from underserved communities — could access high-quality mental health care that truly sees them.
With years of experience, I’ve supported hundreds of clients in navigating life transitions, healing emotional wounds, and finding meaning and balance in their lives. I also lead a dedicated team of therapists who share a passion for empowering others and making therapy more accessible, especially through telehealth and bilingual services in English and Spanish.
When I’m not leading the team at Hope, Opportunity & Mental Empowerment, I focus on growing our profit organization, growing the vision of the practice, and sharing my personal journey to help break mental health stigma. I believe change and growth is possible.
